Key Usage & Safety Guidelines

• Surface Safety: Yaktrax are designed strictly for packed snow and outdoor ice. They must be removed immediately before stepping onto smooth indoor surfaces like marble, tile, or stone, as the metal components will become extremely slick and cause falls.
• Pavement Wear: Avoid walking long distances on dry concrete or uncovered pavement. These hard surfaces will quickly wear down or snap the outer rubber elastomer bands and crush the steel coils.
• Driving: Never wear traction devices while driving or cycling, as they prevent safe operation of vehicle foot pedals.
