The spark arrestor is a mesh dome which installs at the bottom of the stove pipe. The arrestor catches some of the burning ash that would otherwise be free to leave the pipe in the form of sparks.

The 2.5″ diameter arrestor is for the standard stoves, the 3″ diameter arrestor is for the XL stoves. If using an arrestor, it will replace the stainless steel band located at the bottom of the stove pipe.
Please note: If using a spark arrestor it is recommended to remove and clean the arrestor at least once a day. If the arrestor is not cleaned regularly, burn issues will occur.
