The chainrings from Absolute Black are CNC machined from one piece of aluminum and then anodized. This ensures a stiff and durable chainring. They were developed for a 1 x 9, 1 x 10, 1 x 11 or 1 x 12 (SRAM Eagle) drive. The chainrings have special teeth that prevent the chain from jumping off. The principle follows that of the Sram XX1 chainrings. In conjunction with a Sram Type2 or Shimano Shadow + rear derailleur, which have a greatly increased bias of the cage, the chain is reliably held in position even without chain guide.

Ovalization of the chainring enhances performance through powertrain variation and drag optimization. When pedaling with the legs, the natural strengths and weaknesses are reconciled. Thus, a better use of the stronger muscle groups is achieved and in the weaker muscles a balance in the working path (lower stroke) created.
